Saving Lives, Rescuing Babies One Heart at a Time

September 18, 2008

“You have seen what I did. Therefore, if you obey My voice and keep My covenant, you shall be My treasured possession.” Exodus 19:4-5

Does standing outside an abortion mill do any good?  Here is yet another success story of a baby scheduled to die and rescued from the Midwest ’s largest late-term abortion mill:

May 23, 2008- God was answering prayer and blessing our efforts with much fruit this day. We rejoiced with the opportunity to show three mothers the precious life growing in their wombs. Unfortunately, our 21 year old ultrasound van ran out of power and we had to run the fourth save over to our staff obstetrician who was extremely busy with his regular patients, but made the time to see this distressed mother who was being forced inside the deathcamp to kill.

Angel was leaving the abortion mill as she was walking to her car. The Lord told me what to say. She looked up and had a strange expression. She was needing a touch from the Lord this day. We offered to show her a picture.

She looked at the driver and pleaded with him; she wanted to see a picture. I directed them to our van which is forced to park on a lowly side street. I sensed the desperation and hastened her inside. I had no idea what we were in store for…BAM! Her friend chose to stay outside and smoke.

I immediately placed the scanner on her protruding tummy. He came up right away. I measured. She looked over. I pointed and said, “There’s your baby.” She looked over and said, “Oh Lord, I can’t do this now. It’s moving. Is that its hand? Oh, Lord Jesus help me,” she cried. I knew she knew the Lord at this point. “Your baby is auditioning for its life right now.” She then tearfully unfolded this unfortunate situation. I peered over at the deathcamp and the butcherettes were standing on the curb smoking and watching as if they were lying in wait. “Vultures,” I thought.

A women’s shelter was coercing Angel to get rid of her 5th child. She already had three girls and one boy living in a domestic violence shelter. She was married, but the father of the children was abusive. “I can’t come back with this baby or I will get kicked out.” “They can’t do that. We will try and help you with housing. How about family?” She got my ire going when she told me her father was a bishop in the church. He along with her mother was encouraging her to have the abortion. Later we found out the father told her not to come back unless she got her abortion.

Even the abortion mill was angry with Angel; they were pressuring her. They sensed her maternal instincts kicking in when she asked to see the ultrasound. They refused to show her and when she asked the sex, they replied it was against the law to tell her. I was livid. “You know why Angel? Because if you saw this precious baby or knew the sex you would change your mind on the abortion.”

Angel then told us how she almost aborted her fourth baby, a darling little girl. Tears rolled down her face. “That baby girl is so precious to me. She is a momma’s baby. I can’t imagine life without her.” I grabbed her hand and said, “Angel, then why would you let the devil talk you into killing this precious one?” “I just don’t know how I’m gonna do it,” she said. “You alone are not gonna do it, but if the Lord be for you, who would come against you? Angel, you know God has an awesome plan for this baby and the ones at home. With a little help and guidance you can get through this. It’s not going to be easy, but anything in life worth having isn’t easy.”

Angel asked if we knew what she was having. “It appears to be a boy.” She almost jumped off the seat. “Oh Lord!” she exclaimed. She looked over and watched her son suck his thumb. She told me through tears of relief that the abortion mill would not let her leave unless she made another appointment to begin the late-term abortion. “It’s scheduled for this Tuesday and they wanted $1500.00 more dollars.” I still felt the uncertainty. I asked Angel if the abortion mill explained how they would kill her son. She said, “No.” I then showed her the graphic step-by-step illustration of a D & E abortion. “It is very painful as he gets no pain medication and it’s very dangerous.” She was horrified. “They ain’t doin’ that to my baby.”

Just then, we were getting low on power to finish the ultrasound. I summoned Daniel and relayed the situation and that we needed further assistance and confirmation. He made the phone calls and after we prayed and exchanged contact information, we walked Angel and her friend over to the doctor’s office for further evaluation. They thanked us and were very grateful. “Remember Angel, the devil is hard after innocent blood. That’s what keeps his bloodline going here on earth.” Daniel would stay behind and get them in the office.

Three and a half months later:

We rejoiced in the Lord as Small Victories save “Tylan Angelo Daniel Jones” made his debut at 6 lbs 15 oz 18 inches in length. His mother Angel went into labor at 3:30 a.m.

We first met her outside the abortion mill where the death merchants were pressuring her to complete the late-term abortion or be charged full price: $2400.00. She came outside that hot day to think as she was struggling with four other children and living in a domestic violence shelter in Alton , Illinois that brought her to the mill and was encouraging her to have the abortion as, “it would be a burden to bring another child into the world.” Even her family was discouraging her to keep the baby. Her father, a pastor in East St. Louis , told her, “not to come back till she got rid of the baby.”

Praise God, she took me up on an offer to show her a picture of her baby in the ultrasound van. She broke down once inside and began relaying the pressure tactics and threats made to her from Hope abortion staff. She viewed her baby boy on the ultrasound screen and was broken. She was approx 24 weeks. After much praying and tears, we took her across the street to our staff obstetrician for confirmation and follow-up.

Since then, God has been moving in her life. She chose blessings instead of curses and she has prospered. Thank you Jesus! She now owns a five bedroom house and we are helping her with furnishings. Her family has repented of ever thinking of killing that grandbaby. They are very supportive.

When we got to hold baby Tylan for the first time, I whispered how much we loved him and had been waiting for him to arrive and all the sudden his large brown eyes popped open and he looked directly at me. Angel gasped and said, “That’s the first time he opened his eyes. He recognizes your voice.” We smiled. “Well, I do remember speaking directly to your protruding tummy on that fateful day. I was telling this baby how precious he was and how God has His hand on him and praying his mom would not take his life.” Tears were rolling down all who were present in that hospital room hearing this joyful testimony of this baby’s rescue.

Even the nurses heard the story from Angel during her labor and delivery. Praise God! We were so glad to be able to get the much needed crib and supplies to Angel last week. We were down to the wire.

We are still seeking bunk beds for the other children to sleep on instead of bare floors. We hugged and looked forward to this baby boy’s dedication. Angel phoned the next day and let us know she was naming the baby after both Daniel and Angela. There was a bond. We were family now.

This has probably been the best birthday present we have ever received. Thank you God!

Each birthday take inventory of a year’s worth of blessings and celebrate God’s handiwork revealed in the gifts of heart, head, and hands.

Angel’s story is just more proof of how the Church ignores its calling to the mission field right here in its own backyard. Instead of helping the pregnancy ministry that is embedded right in front of the gates of Hell where babies are being murdered every day, the Church will just throw money at a local pregnancy center across town to get out of their responsibility, if that, when most rescuers know, just like the abortion industry realizes, pregnant girls are not walking inside a pregnancy center to kill their babies, but every client we witness (40-50 on average daily) walking inside this abortion mill in Granite City is there to kill their baby.

There are a few imported churches though that actually will show up for the battle as witnessed this past weekend in Granite City .

People get angry when pro-lifers show the truth about abortion because they don't want to be bothered or convicted. Granite City, just like most of our nation, is in denial about what abortion is and its toll. There is a secret covenant with the churches in Granite City and this Hope(less) abortion mill, “You don’t bother me, and I won’t bother you.”

Angel’s touching testimony should be a witness that you can make a difference in the world today, one heart at a time.

Be encouraged~ Angela
