Mother; her world is busy, full of half price sales, shopping carts with school supplies, permanent press, teaching math while cooking supper, all the while trying to remember which one to pick up and who she just dropped off. She has the tenacity of a drill sergeant as she enforces the rules, and the patience of a saint as she gently removes the eight-legged friends her five year old just brought in to share her bedroom with.

A mother’s love and devotion grow deep and is written on their child’s heart and there are times when only her love can understand our tears and soothe our disappointments and calm our fears. A mother lives by faith and not by sight. She lifts the hearts of her family through her understanding and selfless ways. A blessed mother shares her wisdom and guides her children to God. The values a mother has taught, the lessons her children have caught will have enriched their lives in more ways than you can count. Her greatest blessings call her MOM.

But motherhood can be bittersweet. Her world goes from strollers and first steps to driving cars and finding jobs. Hopefully! One of the secrets in raising children properly, is knowing when to give them a hand and where. And though sometimes it may feel like your ladder to success is really a greased pole; don’t give up, be strong and do not lose courage, your work will be rewarded.

On this day of honor, we thank all moms for their courageous love and sacrifice. To birthmothers, who lovingly chose adoption for their children and to those who gave the love of their hearts to adopt children, we say to these and all mothers, thank you for your love does not go unnoticed. We love you all the days of our lives.

There is no greater gift than the gift of life.

“ Thank you Lord, for the joy and wonder you have given me through the children. Thank you Lord, for wide eyes and innocent ways, and reminding me to keep an childlike perspective on life., help me to always see the spectacular in the seemingly ordinary events of each day.”     Happy Mother’s Day!
