Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
A mother can be almost any size or any age, but she won’t admit to anything over 30. A mother has soft hands and smells good.
A mother likes new dresses, music, a clean house, her children’s kisses and an automatic washer.
She doesn’t like having her children sick, muddy feet, temper tantrums, loud noise or bad report cards.
A mother can read a thermometer and, like magic, can kiss a boo-boo away.
A mother can bake good cake and pies, but likes to see her children eat vegetables. A mother can stuff a fat baby into a snowsuit in seconds, and can kiss sad little faces and make them smile.
She can referee, with eyes in the back of her head that no child can see, while driving the Tiger Cubs from the Krispy Kreme den meeting in her family van.
A mother is underpaid, has long hours, gets very little rest. She worries too much about her children, but says she doesn’t mind at all.
No matter how old her children are, she still likes to think of them as “her little babies.”
A mother’s love goes on and on even when her child is grown and gone. God planted a mother’s love so deep that the roots of it go deep and far into our hearts. There’s no place to resign, quit, or escape. Keep sending love messages even though you feel you’re trying to hug a porcupine! Keep sharing your heart. Keep on planting and watering seeds in your family. Don’t expect much back and you won’t be as disappointed.
A loving mother is patient with her children’s immaturity and kind even when they are not. Children need love even when they don’t deserve it. A loving mother bears much of the responsibility for her children; she believes in them; she hopes in each one’s individual ability to stand out as light in a dark world; and she endures every backache and heartache to accomplish that. A loving mother never really dies.
As for home-baked bread it will be consumed and forgotten: a spotless floor will soon gather heel marks and dust. As for children, toys and friends are important to them, but when they grow up it will have been how their mother loved them that will determine how they love others.
“A hundred years from now it will not matter the kind of house you lived in, what your bank account was, or the car you drove, but the world may be different because you were important in the life of a child.”
Endure and persevere mom, and be encouraged!
A mother is the only person on earth who can divide her love among a dozen children and each child can still have all of her love. She is the guardian angel and defender of the family, the queen, the tender hand of love.
Motherhood is the proudest and noblest of all professions. It doesn’t take the recognition of magna cum laude, but holds higher distinction than any collegiate degree possible.
A mother is the best friend anyone ever has. A mother is all those wonderful things that you never out grow a need for. A mother is love.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31
