“They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares;
They say, “Who will see it? They plot injustice and say, “We have devised a perfect plan!”
Surely the human mind and heart are cunning.”
Psalms 64:5-6
Back in the early years of the last decade we held gentle revivals outside many an area church. Now, it was time to take God back, once again, to wake up and clean up another slumbering congregation. We had a smaller remnant, but it was still a remnant for the Lord and, God blessed us with beautiful weather that we haven’t experienced for a long time. A welcome mat was literally spread out to us as we drove along the “pricey”
homes, neatly tucked along the main drive to the church.
‘No parking, temporary police order” signs lined the road closer to the entrance of the church. This was great! It made people actually want to slow down and ask
WHY? Yes, we were small in number, but we were in good company for Ezekiel, too, in his day, stood all alone against the false prophets of Israel. These politically correct ministers preached peace and prosperity instead of pointing out the sin and God’s coming judgment because of it. In the same way many modern churches, who may have started out preaching God’s truth, now water down the Word, not wanting to offend but to make God’s people just feel comfortable.
Well, the scripture declares, “Anyone who knows the good they ought to do and does not, sins,” and, the pastor of this particular church knew something was terribly wrong concerning his congregation’s support of a supposed pro-life organization. He knew alright, but his members didn’t. That’s why we came; to enlighten them. You see, what his “flock” didn’t know was that they were being duped into thinking that their hard-earned donations to a supposed “Pregnancy Center” were saving babies from abortion and helping pregnant women when, in actuality, incredibly little is done in this vital area. Yes, we have been exposing this particular “health center” for years and, although they used to make a small attempt to help pregnant women, now the Mosaic Pregnancy Health Center does even less; much less; all the while asking donations from susceptible church-goers who think their money is actually doing some good. On the other hand, our daily ministry has been overwhelmed with incoming abortion bound women disgusted that they could not receive any assistance in order to keep their pregnancies. They don’t trust, and they’ve been through the ringer, so to speak, and it’s just easier to get an abortion. And so another baby will die because of a fraud who collects money donated to go directly to save babies and instead it pays her $80.000 a year salary and for rehabbing offices that don’t exist. Perpetual fundraising campaigns for a state of the art ultrasound tour bus, that is never in use except photo-ops, it’s ridiculous. For this church to support this chameleon is wrong and it’s sinful.
Many cars stopped to look and read our signs. We received several honks and thumbs up. Only one young woman, probably prochoice, gave us the middle finger. Members of this church had obviously been given a heads up and tried to avoid the signs, but they couldn’t help but look as they turned into the parking lot for services. One woman pulled over and wanted to know more. We gently informed her of the heresy. She was appalled. She encouraged us to keep the faith and keep exposing churches like this one and the wolves in sheep’s clothing. She went on to say in the end times the Bible tells us that it will be a small remnant that stands alone and changes the world. So true.
