Aeges Abortion Mill Closed Down
in Highland, Illinois

Located in our little home town of Highland, a Swiss-German farming community with approx. 10,000 last census. Under the guise of being a “OB/GYN health-center," a realtor procured the office space for the unthinkable. You can imagine the shock when we were notified after witnessing and tending to moms & babies all day outside the Midwest's largest late term abortion mill, Hope Clinic in Granite City, Illinois. We flew into action once confirmed. By 6’oclock we were on site and holding our advertisement sign “Baby Malachi” outside the office in a busy strip mall, facing a plentiful farm field. My other half was working the phones. We were informed this abortionist “ A.C.T," recently from Katy, Texas, had told the building owner she would be servicing women with beauty and Botox therapies etc. No mention of performing abortions. Dr. T has 28 years’ experience in obstetrics and gynecology, practicing in Louisiana and Texas. She is currently licensed in Texas, California and Illinois. But, “why would you come to a small town like Highland" everyone was asking? We knew. Our relentless ministry, Small Victories Pregnancy Outreach, outside Hope Clinic in Granite City, Illinois, and Planned Parenthood in Fairview Heights, Illinois, has always been a thorn in their side and we have taken a lot of money from their wallets. Over 6,803 babies saved from abortions over 30 years! Another point: abortion procedures come with risks and complications. We view ambulances every week pulling up to Hope Clinic in Granite City, Illinois due to this fact. Instead of hauling injured patients to the hospital across from Hope Clinic, they transport women over the river to St. Louis, Missouri, Barnes- Jewish hospital. Why? Because it’s the closest Level 1 trauma hospital. You need a trauma one hospital to save their lives. Our small community hospital would not be able to deal with abortion complicated patients. Liability and litigation more than likely. This was a "poke” in our face and the “word” was getting around town. Several drive bys and curious people stopped by in disbelief. They too were outraged that the rumors were true; baby killing has come to this small pristine town. The center was called “AEGES” on their website. They only offered “abortions,” surgical and medical, birth control, transportation and financial aid and telehealth. No mention of breast exams, pap smears, Botox, etc. More deception to get their foot in the door of this farming community. The abortion industry was founded on lies and thrives on LIES!
In our conversations we found out the city government couldn’t do anything. Evidently, the ordinance some 20 years ago that the Right to Life Association of Highland had drawn up at a city council meeting and signed by the mayor and council members was “moot." It stated that Highland was an abortion free city and would not permit any abortion centers in its city limits. Apparently, ordinances were overhauled back in 2006. City officials told us there was no way they could enforce that declaration by Illinois’s standards, in this day and age.
We told others to pray and consider joining us at our annual Life Chain along this stretch of highway, coming up this fall. Then, God began moving. Within 24 hrs. of our phones ringing off the hook and messages, we were told, “Aeges Women’s Healthcare” would NOT be opening in Highland, Illinois. Praise God! Bless this strip mall owner. The pressure he must have felt. We still had concerned individuals messaging and calling. We whipped up a sign and stood in front of the vacated office giving thanks to all, letting others know this abortion mill was CLOSED. The only caveat; The abortionist still hadn’t signed off the final lease paper. We prayed to God as lawyers interceded and we were asked to attend the regular Highland City council meeting along with the building owner, in case someone had questions concerning the situation. We didn’t know what to expect; pro-abortion protestors? Hope Clinic staffers? The room was crowded with police, and mostly people we recognized. NO opposition. Hallelujah! This was a stark contrast to how the “secret Mega Planned Parenthood" was erected over in Fairview heights, Illinois, almost 4 yrs. ago. In secrecy and darkness under the guise of “women’s healthcare," with no mention of abortion. Everything was quiet and not a word was spoken or question asked. Word to the wise, anything reeking of healthcare & women, it’s a “red flag." Ask questions before you rent or sell. Especially in such a tight knit community as Highland, Illinois, where there is a high regard for LIFE.
“Nothing is hidden, except to be revealed: Nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to LIGHT.” Mark 4:22
The disgusting part was we heard about other local organizations; the St. Paul prolife group, and the local “cash cow” pregnancy center, Relevant Options Pregnancy Center
were furious with the building owner because he kicked the abortionist out before they could do a photo op for their perpetual fundraising fliers. Sick. This is 99% of the prolife movement nowadays. It’s only there for photo ops and fundraising. Look at the salaries they pay themselves for doing nothing!
So grateful to God that he equipped us to get ahead of this abomination before it got a foothold. And thankful for the strip mall owner for his courage, and trusting us. This is not to say they can’t open on another corner, in another town, they may, but you have to be the watchman on the wall. In time, may God close another. “Evil succeeds when good men do nothing”.
